Gloria's Shito Spicy Chocolate Brownie

 

Trick or Treat! Add a Little Spice to Your Chocolate Brownie

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon Gloria’s Vegan Chili Oil (or adjust to 1 teaspoon for less heat)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Once melted, add the sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. Crack the eggs into the butter-sugar mixture and whisk until fully combined.
  4. Gradually stir in the flour until just incorporated.
  5. Mix in 1 tablespoon of Gloria’s Shito Vegan Chili Oil, ensuring it’s evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Melt the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Add the melted chocolate to the batter and mix until combined.
  7. Fold in the cocoa powder, mixing until smooth and evenly incorporated.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking tray. For an extra touch, sprinkle flaky salt on top (optional).
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  10. Once done, remove from the oven and let the brownies cool completely in the tray at room temperature before slicing.
