Trick or Treat! Add a Little Spice to Your Chocolate Brownie
Ingredients:
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon Gloria’s Vegan Chili Oil (or adjust to 1 teaspoon for less heat)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Once melted, add the sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Crack the eggs into the butter-sugar mixture and whisk until fully combined.
- Gradually stir in the flour until just incorporated.
- Mix in 1 tablespoon of Gloria’s Shito Vegan Chili Oil, ensuring it’s evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Add the melted chocolate to the batter and mix until combined.
- Fold in the cocoa powder, mixing until smooth and evenly incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking tray. For an extra touch, sprinkle flaky salt on top (optional).
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let the brownies cool completely in the tray at room temperature before slicing.
